Haha Great Day...

Today was the first day of the 2004 season and I took out my car. (JdM Civic SiR-II i/e) and my first run was against a 300zx...I beat him by alot on the first run because I launched almost perfectly and he stopped and turned around before the end of the track. This was my fastest time all day (r/t .869, 60ft 2.406, t/s 93.9, 12.52 1/8). The funny thing was that I left the line so well that they had four guys from the committee waiting at the end of the track to check me for nitrous...I was laughing so much...I think they thought I had a little stock D series or something and was just coming to see how fast my grocery getter can go with a little spray. The second race was my boy jerard in his JdM H22 prelude..I launched badly on this one but still beat him in 60ft(not by much)...he took me over about mid track though still was fun...The third race the 300zx actually tried and I still beat him in everything but reaction time...damn he has RWD and beat me in r/t but still got a slower 60ft time (that just occured to me) he ran a 13.133 and I ran a 12.545...My last race was supposed to be a 4th gen civic hatch with a built to hell gs-r (b18 block b16 head) motor in it so im expecting to lose 2morrow...If I do I can settle for third on my first days with my car at the track...

"Check that young man for nitrous"...Six words i'll never forget...LoL

Re: Haha Great Day...

I dont know if we're that high above sea level thats why im asking some of the officials down at the track if its really 1/8 because compared to some of you guys 1/8 mile times they're are really slow...I had a really shitty day at the track today, I lost the key for my lugs so I was forced to drive home with drag radials on and the both boots on my cv joints split so grease was all over my rims...plus some a**hole put a huge scratch on my bumper and my horn stopped working for some odd reason...I was pissed off...I did okay racing-wise, my best time today with drag radials was 12.428 @ 92.5 Mph it was against a old Gs-R teggy...I left him at the line and had about 3 cars on him he didnt finish (he claimed he broke a cv joint)...anyways...it was a fun 2 days of racing thank God theres no more of that for about 2 - 3 weeks.

Those are some pitiful times man, I mean that's like a 20+ second 1/4 mile time. That Z must have had 2 busted spark plugs or something..

Re: Haha Great Day...

I'm seriously beginning to doubt all of your post. You say you have a JDM SIR II civic, yet you don't get your license till September. But eventhough you don't have your license your mom let's you drive around in her corolla. Anyone else understand this, because i sure as H*ll don't. What kind of parent would let their child drive around without a license in THEIR car? But h*ll if your telling the truth my power to you. I just hope you don't get caught so when you do get your license you'll be able to drive. Also how in the F*ck can you run 12sec 1/8mile, you must be extremely above sea level, either that or you suck at making up stories.

Re: Haha Great Day...

You are in Nassau, Bahamas, right?

Are you running at the BHRA dragway? If so, your times are even less believable, as the BHRA is a 1/4 track. As far as I can research, only the BHRA track is the only one that has official drag timing in Nassau.

If I am wrong, feel free to correct me, and give me the name of the actual track you do run at. Otherwise, you have some explaining to do.

Yes carrrnuttt you're right I am running at the BHRA (Bahamas Hot Rod Association) track but we do not have a 1/4 mile track here I went to the jukebox (tuner shop) today and asked why people in the states (you guys) were running such faster 1/8 mile times than us and they told me that our track isn't 1/8 but that its 1000 feet because that was what the association agreed upon because it was kinda in the middle and gives the A and B class cars enough track to slow down at the end. XixGenuinexiX Im really sorry that you dont beleive me but I have no reason to come online and lie in a forum...What kind of satisfaction would I get from that? Im here for the same reason you guys are here to talk about and learn a bit more than I already know about cars. My mom used to let me drive her corolla really often because she kinda knew I wouldnt be a target for the police in a white corolla with no tints and up to date tags but I dont drive it as much anymore because week before last when my car had no plates I went around the corner in my neighbourhood just to keep the car in good shape I was pulled over by the police and they made me drive the car home and threatened to take me to the station for driving an unlicenced car without a licence so she got scared and only let me go to the track sunday and monday because a friend of mine who has a licence drove it out there for me to run it. Again im really sorry if you guys dont beleive me but for what its worth you can go to www.jukeboxbahamas.com and click import racers you will see all the thumbs from sunday (the monday pics aren't up yet) they only got one shot of my car because I was only on the track 3 times that day you can see my boys red H22 prelude also, they got like two shots of him if I can remember correctly.
Im at the bottom of the thumbnail page on the jukebox website 9th row 2nd column up against the 300zx.

EDIT: If you go on the jukebox site and read the little paragraph under lamberts talon you'll see that the track is under construction...Im not too sure but they may be converting it to a 1/4 mile track, I'd have to ask.

Re: Haha Great Day...

Oh yea civicHBsi91 I just looked over my slips my best 60ft times were 2.258 on street tires and 2.277 with d/r's...I should be on your level with a bit more experience considering this was my first time launching with drag radials.
