engine swap LB9 for a L98

I have a 1988 Irocz 5 speed with a LB9 engine, Want to install L98 engine. I was wondering if the cars computer was compatible with the L98 engine. If not what aftermarket chip will work.

Re: engine swap LB9 for a L98

If your doin the swap, you should only need to change the ECM and prom chip.. The L98 will need its own injectors too..
Just get an ECM out of another Camaro with the 350.. A wrecker or dealership should have one for you..
Im pretty sure an automatic ECM can be wired for a manual tranny, but Ive never done it before

You shouldn't need a new ecm, just the chip. The only difference between the two is that one's a 305 and the others a 350, that's all .
