Some people rarely use them, I wish mine worked.
Hey, I've got a quick question. Hopefully, someone can help me out. I have a '76 Thunderbird and the turn signals have quit working. I tried replacing the bulbs and the fuse, but neither seemed to help. The weird thing about it is this: I could flip my turn signal stick up/down and the blinker wouldn't go on, but while it's in a certain position if I pull it or wedge it around, the blinker will click on for a little bit, but it's hit or miss; sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. And I can't live with this hit or miss garbage. Basically, I just wanted to know if anyone has had similar problem with a mid 70's T-Bird like that, or if anyone knows anything I can try. Someone was telling me about the 'thermal flasher', but A) I don't know much about turn signals, so I don't even know if I HAVE a thermal flasher and B) if I do, I have no clue where it's at. I haven't had much luck finding any manuals for a '76 T-Bird. Anyhow, any help would be greatly appreciated.
My second task, getting the Bird to pass emissions. Ugh.. |

It sounds like the switch itself. If you can wiggle it and sometimes make it work, it is not making contact all of the time. It's worn out.
