99 Cobra VS. 02 Firehawk
Well, i was at it again with my cousin.. He has a 02 Firehawk with longtube headers,Y pipe, and SLP loud mouth cat back system.. I have the mods listed below... We were on a three lane highway and it was him, another kid ryan( GTP running 14.6), and me.. I had raced the gtp just before that and its just pointless cause i murder him .. Anyhow we are kinda lined up rolling at 20mph.. My cousin was alittle ahead of me with my front end at his door.. There was no honking or notification that the race was on.. He just punched it.. So he gets a huge jump on both of us which i feel is kinda gay cause he's the type to look at it as a win.. anyways we blow away the GTP and we go at it up to 130 with me at his rear bumper the whole way up.. so i'd have to say our cars are pretty damn close.. Of coarse he thinks he is way faster and has 380whp lol his excuse for me being so closewas that he was spinning the whole time lol So i think if the table were turned i would had beeten him with a false start like that.. Anyways it was fun and someday he will run out of excuses.. There was this other kid with us with a 98 Z28 Auto and he is afraid to race me.. He just will not race me.. these guys take it way too serious.. i race for fun. win or lose.. I'm actually pretty happy that i was at the " cheaters" bumper with the stuff i have versus his more powerfull car...

good run... I hate people like that. Jump you then shut it down right before you pass them or so just so they can claim the win before you pass them. good job

yea, and i guess now the GTP kid i raced claims he was close lol i rapped him and he cheated and jumped way before i even knew we were racing lol

yea exactly... what is it with people not being able to admit that they lost or they beat you but they got a jump on you and it was close. I don't have a problem admitting it. It just pisses me off when they keep rubbing it in your face that you lost or something like when T/A's beat me and say it's b/c I have a stang... well, I have a 94 stang (225 hp) against a new T/A (325 hp) and they beat me by a car length? Sad

What longtube headers did he go with? LT's is what I'm saving for currently. I hope he meant that he might have 380 at the crank...

no he is a confused person.. he thinks 380 whp.. he thinks he has 330whp stock so then he added all his mods on to that.. he totally has no clue, but i'm not 100% sure what headers he has.. I know he has an SLP loud mouth catback system so maybe SLP headers.. his car is loud, but sounds trumpety... we think its the quad tips that are giving it the weird sound so he's gonna get new tips.. He paid 800 someodd bucks for his headers i know that.. actually now that i think of it, they are SLP cause he was gonna have SLP install them, but they wanted 1700 bucks for labor... SLP makes good stuff for SS and firehawks.. i'd go with SLP..

Yup, that's my plan for mine. As soon as my bro pays me back for the money that bailed his ass out of his last speeding ticket, I should be able to get them. Only thing is, I can't install them until after I get out of my current apartment complex. I already hit the speedbumps if I go too fast, and that's with the stock ride height. SLP's LT's are supposed to decrease ground clearance, so we'll see what happens...
I'm guessing that he's around 340-350 rwhp with his 02 Firehawk.

yea 340 sounds about right... yea SLP has nice stuff.. i think if i didn't by the american thunder cat back i would had got the Loud mouth instead..
