91-96 spoiler

Sounds great kix! I'm really getting excited about my car again... Do you know where I can get a tasteful spoiler for a 91-96 park ave?

Re: Re: buick portholes

Hi Tman,

It took me close to 4 months of looking at various cars on the road to find a decent spoiler for my LeSabre. In addition, I also went to several websites and just browed through all the pictures of factory spoilers. For doing this, I found the following sites as best: www.spoilerdepot.com, www.spoilers4less.com, and www.california-dream.com. They had a good supply of pictures, specs, etc. I tried to find a spoiler for a 91-96 Park Ave, but couldn't really find one for you for those years. You're probably going to have to do what I did, and just find a spoiler that you like (from a different car), then make sure it will fit the curve of your trunk (and also make sure it doesn't block your third brake light, if the spoiler doesn't come with a light). I did find a custom spoiler that was specific to my LeSabre at CaliforniaDream, but I didn't care for the looks of it.

I ordered a spoiler from Califirnia Dreams last Tuesday evening, and it arrived today. 3 days. I had to basically agree to waive my warranty if it was due to fit (not workmanship), since I chose a spoiler from a 2000-2004 Alero and had it painted to match my Buick. I figured that was fair. It looks great sitting on my trunk and fits great. They did a very nice job on the paint/clearcoat, and it matches my car perfectly (it's a metallic bronze called Light Bronzemist). At $300 painted, they were more expensive than than the other online spoiler companies. But in reading through the sites and talking with them, I could tell it was a higher quality than the rest. I haven't actually installed the spoiler yet, but looking forward to it. The spoiler is extremely light plastic, so it should have no effect on the balance of my trunk lid (no problems with having to reinforce the trunk springs)

As mentioned in my last post above, I ordered a set of portholes from esetz.com Monday night. On Wednesday, I called the company to get an estimate on the delivery date. The guy that answered was on the road at the time (must've been his cell phone). He said he wouldn't be back to his office until Friday, and his son who helps him, was also travelling on business. Sounds like a pretty small business. I was told to expect the portholes sometime this coming week. We'll see....

Kix

PS. Once I get my portholes and spoiler installed, I'll try to figure out a way to post a picture of my car here.

WOW!!!!!!

Thank you so much for that super-detailed post Kix!!!

I'm going to look at that one for the alero.

I'm gonna split these last couple posts from the porthole thread because we've gotten way off topic!

No problem on splitting the thread....

I'm going to try to post some pictures of spoilers (2-3 shots of the 2000-2004 Olds Alero spoiler, and custom spoiler that fits a 2000-2004 Park Ave or LeSabre).

I went with the Alero spoiler for my LeSabre....Not sure how it would look on the 1991-1996 Park Ave. I liked it because it wasn't too flashy (and take away from the rest of the car), but enough to "sport it up" a bit. The spoiler is about 2 inches less wide than my trunk lid (1 inch per side when centered).

Kix

Let me know if this works, please.
