Unhappy ignition problem, transmission problem, you name it problem

1. When driving short distances i.e. 15 miles, switching off, and then attempting to restart, the car WILL NOT START. Not a battery problem because all electrical parts (lights, buzzers) work. The starter will not turn for a few seconds.

2. Does not like to shift down when stopping at red lights, etc. When accelerating from this position, the transmission slips out then shift hard into first.

ANY HELP???

Re: ignition problem, transmission problem, you name it problem

1. Test voltage at battery and starter. Maybe make sure all connections are clean and intact. It could also be heat affecting your starter. These starters (as with most things on these cars) don't last forever and may need replacement.

2. Make sure fluid level is correct. See part 2 of above response.
