Help on new speaker install please
I have a cheap CD player, 15Wx4, and decided to replace my stock speakers with some that were a little better...
My old speakers were 25W max, 8W nom, and the new ones are some pioneer 2-ways, 120W max, 25W nom. My question is, I replaced the driver side speaker with the new one just to test it, and while sound comes out, it is very weak, and not nearly as loud as the old speaker in the passenger side. I was wondering what the problem could be... did I possibly mix up the + and - (pretty sure I got it right), or is the deck not powerful enough? Something else? Thanks in advance for your help! |

Re: Help on new speaker install please
Most likely you are used to the sound of a distorted loud speaker... Anything will sound better than the cheap stock paper speakers generally and you might want to invest in an amp for them

Re: Help on new speaker install please
ok thank you... i might do that... maybe if i put both of the new ones in and just turn up the volume it will work better, so the sound fromt he new one isnt being drowned out.
