Re: Borla exhaust

The exhuast is actually quiter than the stock one but it definetly frees up the power you want, Borla focuses more on performance and quality than sounds. But if you put in the two test pipes(remove cats) than the borla true dual exhuast sounds really vicious.

Hi everyone im new in the forum, Now my question is what is the difference between the performance you get from a Borla to a Flow master muffler?. I instaled a 2-1 Z28 mufler on my 350Z and it sounds great. But i dont know it may affect the car's lowend torque, b/c it wasn't specially designed for a 350Z? Thanxs guys i would appreciate an responce.

Re: Borla exhaust

The Borla exhaust voiding your warranty is partially correct and partially incorrect.

You are protected under the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act from dealers voiding your warranty stating that a modification caused a problem. They are now required to prove that the modification caused the problem.

As far as sound, the Borla exhaust is the deepest exhaust i've heard for the 350Z (and i'm a Mustang 281 sounds man).

JCC, the Borla will probably gain 6hp more than just a Flowmaster muffler, that's the main difference.

Most exhausts give better mid-range and upper RPM performance on the 350Z.

It may, it's just speculation without a dyno.

Taking of the resonator and adding a flowmaster to my Z Killed the torque on my car BIG TIME! I say this b/c just a day ago an old supra turbo probably 80's beat me, and i could tell, it didnt have no great mods like ehaust but not even a BOV because i didnt hear it. The stock muffler is good as it is dont waste money on a new one thats only gonna give you 3-7hp. You guys are better off having Testpipes and headers , if you want power over sound, just an opinion.

I really can't help you here. Never tried the Borla exhaust or any other exhaust except for Injen which I am very happy with. Sorry

Re: Borla exhaust

I myself would choose the borla due to it being quiet.
