88 buick century Radio removal

I need help to remove the map light cover to gain access to the two screws holding the radio in on the right side. I have the trim plate and three screws off that is holding the cover on and it is loose but I can't pull it off! This is the instructions in the Haynes manual for the 88 Buick century.

take the screws out, make sure you took the bottom one out (i think there is a bolt on the bottom on my 1994)

it takes a good amount of force to pry it off, i think if you pull upwards a little it makes it easier.
