Whats the ECU code for a b18c1 like p30.. etc. Thanks i'm really considering getting a Auto B18C1 swap instead of a manual B16a2 swap. Since i found an auto b18c1 for about $200 dollars more. Thanks ahead.

Re: B18C1 Automatic ECU?

P72 is the GSR ECU, either auto or manual, it will just have a different suffix of numbers in the serial number.

Re: B18C1 Automatic ECU?

tell me this tho..why are you going with an automatic b18 over a b16 5spd ??? cause the b18 is 200 dollars more and is gonna be hella slower around town due to being an automatic

If his car is already an automaticit will save a ton of headaches, and you can always swap out the cams, and get a torque convertor. Not to mention autos are the only way to go if you plan on bracket racing, not that he i, but still.

Re: B18C1 Automatic ECU?

well i assumed he already had a manual and was gonna go with an Auto. not that theres anything wrong with an Automatic, they have a tone of advantages..i actually prefer an Auto tranny but i run a Stick for speed around town. hey ...what do they say when you assume ??? lol
