Exclamation Help! Sterring is squeky!

Help! Some one Any one, My steering is squeaky when I turn the wheel. I tried to Locate the Power steering Fluid Colum/ or where u put the Power steering Fluid and I have not had much luck...everything is Marked on the car except one Small tank w/ fluid. It is a little Low, Even tho8ugh it looks like and smells like the power steering Fluid in the Bottle. I do not want to put it in unless I know. The small tank w/ the Fluid is next to the Radiater Over Fill Tank. Is this It? It is on the right. I can not find any other Place. Please help. The Manual is no use! No Man around to help either. Thank you so much.

Mary

Re: Help! Sterring is squeky!

You probably just need to change your belt(s).

Re: Help! Sterring is squeky!

I agree with mightymoose about your noise. The tank that you are referring to sounds like your power steering tank. Your brake fluid is the one near the firewall in the top right hand corner (on drivers side), your engine coolant should be well marked so it sounds like you are referring to your power sterring fluid. It is a little tank that should be on the passenger side near the belts, close to the radiator. The power steering pump is run by a belt (I believe) and (that is the reason a noise would be heard when turning the wheel). I hope this helps.
