Hood Scoops Increase Air Flow?
Stupid question probably but do hood scoops, the ones that have an open hole into the engine, wont it provide better airflow in the engine..................

If you mean one like you see on WRX's, then those create drag on your car. It will give airflow to the engine, but if you notice, the air filter is not located directly above the block. There are some more aerodynamic designs with vents you could probably try, but most of these are more aesthetic if anything.

The WRXs have the hood scoops because they have top mount intercoolers. The scoops are functional.
