Truck bogged down, won't start, Distributor?

Hello, I have a couple of questions about my 93 GMC Sierra. I was heading down the road and my truck lost power all of a sudden just as I passed over a cattle guard. It restarted momentarily and lost power again. It did this a couple of more times as I inched off to the side of the road.My first guess was the vibration from crossing the cattle guard knocked a wire loose or something. I checked the plug wires, fuel filter, distributor and fuel pump. All are OK. Now, there's that little module where the wires connect to on the distributor. How do I go about checking that to see if it is still good? And if it is good what else might be the problem? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Ron

test for spark. if there's none it's probably the module. are you sure the fuel pumps good? did you check the pressure? gm fuel pumps die all the time in trucks
