Question battery/alternator

hello! i am new here. i (unfortunatley )own a 91 pontiac and have just replaced the battery. it ran okay for a day and now its dead again. do i need to replace the alternator? the alternator has been replaced before. i am working on getting a new car but first i have to get this one out of my driveway. any advice? thank you so much.

take the alt. off and take it to NAPA or Autozone.

They can test it for you.

VMH, it is a known problem with GM alternators from 88 to 95 dying out of the blue,(Still was a problem on later models but not as bad as those years) so most probably is the alternator again. If you are selling the car just install a new alternator and add the cost to the car price.
