Angry Car Got Stolen

I got up this morning going to work and the worst thing in the world happened to me. My 1996 GSR got stolen by some bastards. It is a very wierd feeling, i finally called the police and the insurance and i'm in a temporary car right now but it really sucks. They didnt break the windows and i'm in an apartment complex so they should've had a security but that didn't work... and everyone else ignores the alarms now adays so it doest make any difference.

Whoever these people are they are the worst kind in the world, stealing what you've worked so hard to build and earn. I'm just hoping that something good turns out... this really sucks.

Man that sucks. I hate theft. It really bugs me that people have to steal things. If you want something go out and get a damn job like everyone else and buy it.

Sorry to hear about that man. I hope they find your car and in good shape. Good luck.

now i know what it feels like to become a statistic... integra's are one of the most stolen (if not the #1) vehicles in the U.S. ... i just never thought it would happen to me.

i'm not sure what i'm going to do next if they do find the car and in what condition? now i'm gonna have to wonder if they abused the car or whatever else they did to it... should i keep it or not.... it's really depressing.

Did it have an alarm? I got a good Clifford after someone tried to steal my last car. I was so po'ed, it was the first mod I made on my car.

BTW, I went outside and grabbed them, and they did NOT get my car. Too bad you couldn't have done that.

It happened at 4:00 AM - lots of thefts are done then, because statistically, that's the hour when the greatest number of people are asleep.

yeah it had an alarm but i didn't hear it since i was really tired last night... the people who did hear it just ignored it since alarms go off all the time. they said that it happened around 2-3AM in the morning. There was supposed to be a security guard going around the apartment complex but i don't think he heard anything either or just ignored it maybe...

it would've been sweet revenge if you see the guy trying to jack your car... i'm just not sure what my first reaction would be.... grab something blunt

these thieves are the worst people on the planet... why can't they just do something useful instead of violating other peoples property?!?!?!

Lightbulb

whenever i park the Chevelle ANYWHERE other than in my garage or a friends house, i always put a Club on it, then i pop the hood, remove the ignition coil wire, and disconect the throttle linkage. most of the punks that steal cars for joyrides wouldn't know an old style ignition setup if it hit them in the head, and they definetely wouldn't know how to set up a carbs throttle linkage with the return springs. Especially if the two return springs are in my pocket along with the coil wire!! also when i'm staying over somewhere, i'll have a friend block me in, so that if anyone wants my car, they'll have to do some serious improvising to even get the thing running, and then steal another car as well to get to mine. too much of a pain in the ass for the average car theif.

I couldn't find my baseball bat, so I grabbed a sickle (think of the sharp cutting object on the old Soviet flag ) and grabbed the guy. His head was in my trunk, looking for tools, because he didn't bring the right sized screwdriver to take apart my ignition.

I scared the crap out of him, but didn't injure him. I did call the cops though.

Sounds like you didn't have an ignition cutoff on the alarm. That should be an aim for your next alarm. Or, remove the coil wire when you park overnight. However, if they *really* want your car, they'll get it

i think the sound of a colt 1911 .45 slide is enough. If they dont run, then give them a slug.

Also, isnt there a enw alti-theft device, something that is like the club, only for your clutch pedal/brake pedal? so it would lock your clutch or brake all the way up so that they cant depress it? anyone know if it's any good?

i'll drive the Chevelle every day as long as it's not winter(roadsalt) and it's not raining. i won't do the ignition and linkage if i'm only gonna be away from it for 2 min. i'll put the club on it though. if you know what you're doing, it only takes about a minute to get her set back up(i've done it so many times). i love just spending time with her under the hood anyways (my old girlfriend hated how much time i would spend with the Chevelle LOL.), so it's not like it really matters. if it's what keeps it from being stolen, then that's the way it's gonna be. because if i ever hear of anyone even thinking of touching my baby, they better start running right now.
