Re: Safe Boost on Stock

They say 16psi is a safe amount on the stock 2g turbo, but feel free to experiment. You'll still see power at 21psi, but it's not too healthy to push the T25 so hard.

I think as long as you keep it under 15PSI everythink should work... BTW get a new turbo, since the t-25 is somehow crap...

New, they are all about the same prices... but you can hop on dsmtrader and see if you can find a good used one pretty cheap.

Re: Safe Boost on Stock

you'll need the 16g install kit too. plus you might want to look into an fmic if you get one. I was told that the smic gets heat soaked pretty easily on a 16g. Buscher racing and Slowboyracing have good prices on 16g's. I got mine from sbr. it was about 20 bucks more than the buscher one though. you also will have to upgrade your fuel pump to a 190 and get bigger injectors. it's not a cheap swap.

You may want to go with the 14b if you're a little tight on cash. from what I hear it's still a good increase and they're only about 100 bucks. and the install kit from sbr is 199. Good luck with your turbo.

Re: Safe Boost on Stock

well it is better that the big 16 G with right tuning and it is about the same price... but if you dont have enough money stick with the smal 16G... works better with stock fuel system...

Re: Safe Boost on Stock

I just bought the evoII 16g. it was only about 30 or 40 dollars more and the performance difference is supposed to be pretty significant. it's the same tdo5h housing but it has a larger turbine. not sure the exact measurement. I believe it flows around 550 cfm. correct me if I'm wrong. but tomeek is right, if you're going to be running the stock fuel system the small 16g would be better. But in all honesty, and this is only a suggestion, if you're going to spend that kind of mioney on a new turbo... get a good one. so if you're strapped for now do the 14b, then save up for the evo... or even a 20g. because to do the 16g right... you'll need a lot more support mods. Good luck with your search and choice.
