Try just your average tune up and some fuel injector cleaner and don't drive the car to hard higher RPMs drink more gas.

NOOO fuel injector cleaner! that shit sucks ass! go have your injectors flushed at a shop, it cost me $35 at Wal-Mart as I watched (loads of shit coming out). Some shops will charge $75+, just shop around. Also, replace your stock fuel filter and add another in-line filter spliced just before it enters rails/manifold. That will help keep sediment and other crap out of the injectors (don't run gas tank too low either) and help when running low grades of gas. Lastly, make sure you have enough spark and replace the plugs.. . don't bother buying cheap plugs, buy Bosch Platinum or better, they're pre-gapped so it saves you time.

Actually I use rubbing alcohol and most ford shops like I work in will just use an injector cleaner or replace the injectors. And I agree Bosch Platinum are worth it.

What type of driving do you do? ( City, highway, etc?) I can't see a car like that, (a 94 4.6), that is running OK and only gets 10 mpg! By any chance is the check engine light on? It may be on and the car still may seem like it is running "fine." Also how are you calculating your MPG? If you are going by the guage, the guage may be inaccurate or inconsistent throughout the entire range. They way I would calculate MPG, first fill up the tank completely. Drive until about 1/4 full. Keep track of the mileage since you filled up. Then fill up again. Now check how much gas you put in it. Now calculate the MPG. This is a more accurate way of calculating MPG than going by the guage.
