Turn key to start and starter won't kick. Replaced Solenoid. Same problem. Battery is good. Replaced Starter fuse. Suspect clutch switch. Would rather wire around it. Any other sugestions on why it won't engage???? Any directions on how to wire around the clutch switch??

Re: 1998 S-10 Starter not engaging...HELP!!!!
You could probe the purple wire at the starter relay for power while someone engages the clutch and has the key to start. If you have power there you may need a new relay

Tighten your battery connections and try it again.
