Never seen this before!!!

The R32 in these colours! Never been in any of our catalogues or shops!
Is it some sort of limited edition?

This was on Tamiya's Japanese site:

So at least it's not like this:

I've never known that Tamiya has sold earlier DTM Merc's with Warsteiner decals. Seems to be an option between Tabac-Sonax and Warsteiner.

This is the most impressive R32 for me. It race for Macau GP with E30 M3 and benz 190E; and had a win for more than 30sec!

But very sadly tamiya's decal was wrong one. They don't have the Reebok logo.

That Merc looks so dodgy to me! Tamiya never pictured the actual model on their boxes! It is always painted art!
Also, the box looks too plain around the car! Suspicious of that one am I!

Does anyone do the Reebok decal as an aftermarket item?
I guess they appeared for the race and Tamiya modelled the qualifying or practice model?

Certainly a bit "interesting". I've seen the same thing done with Tamiya's DTM Calibra, so it might be interesting to send that picture to Tamiya Europe, which just happens to be in Germany... makes me think: maybe Tamiya Europe has tried to please German DTM fans by releasing their kits with aftermarket decals too, to get more different DTM cars?? Just a thought...

I thought the Warsteiner sponsored Merc was a much later bodyshape too, the one with the cut out rear arches?
After the 3 cars Tamiya did, the dark cars were sponsored by UPS!

Look at the mirrors on the DTM Merc Box, one is bent down! ANd the front lights aren't painted right!
I am seriously beginning to doubt it has anything to do with Tamiya!
They would never publish a box with a bent mirror pictured!

I don't believe so, either

I hadn't even looked at the box that much..
