ISO 92-95 Civic fender trim

Please help, I can't find decent fender trim for my rusty 92-95 Civic hatch. I don't want that chrome-look plastic, or some cheesy adhesive crap, and I don't want stainless steel. Just sleeper black ABS or polyurethane or maybe carbon fiber, if it will hold up to road punishment. I don't think a widebody is the key either, I need to keep the car a sleeper so I can really scare the piss out of people (plus I'm in my thirties, which is getting up there for a riceboy.)

I don't know of any chrome trim around a 92-95 Civic fender...do yoiu mean trim around the window? You could always clean the chrome trim, scruff sand it with 400 grip sand paper or a red sctoch bright, and then paint int black. If you get some "Flat Black" paint, like a black bumper paint, "Euroblack" paint that matches factory blacked out trim, it will give it the flat plastic look you are looking for. Go over it with 3 or so coats,, and keep the last coat light. Let the paint flash in between coats, the flash time should be listed on the bottle or the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet).

No I mean the chrome cheesy aftermarket pimp-mobile fender trim kits--I don't want to buy something like that. What is going on is my fender edges are getting consumed by rust in Minnesota street salt. Every two years I have to go, get all the bondo knocked out, have the rust sandblasted, treated, re-bondoed, sanded primed, painted, then the body shop wants to strip the whole car, etc. I am so sick of this mess, but I don't want to buy a newer vehicle or out of state one and switch all of my parts (engine, suspension, brakes, etc.) so it would be simple to just cut off the offensive rust, spatter paint the edges with rust treatment, and apply nice ABS or carbon fiber trim to give a perfect edge again, all for a few afternoons worth of work and a few hundred dollars. Then it is little trouble to have a beautiful car again, and a fast sleeper at that. But thanks for your time anyways. Anyone else out there have a lead?

Sorry, I don't know of any black kits like that. Have you considered getting the chrome one and having it painted or powercoated black before you install it. That's all I can think of, it'd give you the product you want, in the color you want...sort of...I understand your dislike for rust though and wanting to prevent it. If I ever see something like that fender trim in black I'll let you know.
