Hey all I was just wonderin who are some of the automotive illustrators you guys and gals like.

Here's my off the top list:

George Trosley (Did anyone else ever get his book?) Has anyone here ever heard of CARtoons? I'm a huge fan and a personal friend so I gotta rep for my hommie.

and this T-shirt guy here in Tucson named Paul Dean.

I'm doing a website for the printer that him and I use, and I have about 60 of his designs on pelloms (printed cloth) in my art studio right now. I don't know if you'll find him on the web, but wow!!

He's helped me for years. He's a good dude.

Hey Lemorris,

You need to tell your friends and contacts to write a "complete" book on rendering cars.

Any of them--excuse the term--"fine artists"?
It would be nice to have some dedicated books to painting automobiles.
And I don't mean body spray painting either....hee hee

I have to buy books on painting flowers and crap to try to learn how to paint cars.

Al and I are forging a working professiopnal relationship on the side. This list was in reference to those outside this space that we see in publications for the most part. You were added because you crack me up, and that has to count for something....right?

Now name some artists and then we can look up those named and we can all see other great works.

Uhh Henrik Fisker, Steve Crijins, some other design guys.

Fisker is design exec. at Aston Martin, creates the most beautiful designs around... My fave designer is Steve Crijins, he worked at Lotus for a while, did the current Elise, Exige, M250, some other little projects. He's simply amazing.
