1988 Plymouth Voyager Ignition Switch
I am trying to replace the ignition switch in my 1988 Plymouth Voyager.
I have been told that the steering wheel has to be removed by one place and not by another place. Any assistance on how to do this will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Ed |

Re: 1988 Plymouth Voyager Ignition Switch
Well all I can tell you is I removed my steering wheel with a cheap (canadian tire) steering wheel puller. My ignition and my clock spring (for the horn and air bag) went. I McGivered mine
I bypassed the clock spring, disabled the air bag and relocated the horn button. I have a peice of a key broken off in the ignition and I use a auto starter to start it.Only problem I see you having is... the bolts that hold the ignition modual on to the steering colum are a kind of torx with a center pin. If you can imagine a torx bit (a star) with a center pin. You will need aspeical tool or make your own or drill the center pin out. That's all I can really tell you. Good Luck Wayne |

Re: 1988 Plymouth Voyager Ignition Switch
Well I finally got it. I had to pull the steering wheel and the get a lock plate remover. Once I was able to get to the switch from in side the sterring column, it was pretty easy from there.
