Exhaust for a 98 Eclipse RS

I am wondering what sounds good on the eclipse rs. I am looking for a throaty sounds instead of that high weedwacker sounding type. Would a fireball wound good or is there another one that sounds better.

Yea the ebay brand is going to sound great
If your on a budget, OBX.

Re: Exhaust for a 98 Eclipse RS

or you could just go to a local exhaust shop and get a full custom job for under 200 bucks. remember that cylinder type mufflers will sound raspy and louder than eliptical mufflers, which will sound more deep.

Re: Exhaust for a 98 Eclipse RS

on an rs, I would def say go with the evo2. it sounds so nice. thats my personal preference though. you're not gonna get a whole lot of power gains from an exhaust on a non turbo car... so whether you get axle back or a full custom job is up to you.

I am going to go to an exhaust shop and have them do a custom job. . . I am just lookin for a good deep sounding muffler no raspy ricey sound and definitely no weedwacker!.. Its bad when your riding lawnmower has a deeper exhaust than your car.I like the dual tipped ones but I dont know what they sound like or what brand would be good. I have no clue about the ebay ones.. They have a lot of both. So any inputs would be nice.

if anyone has a stock gst muffler i am interested.

What about the Tsudo cat-backs? Are they good? I was thinkin about getting an exhaust, but the prices are very high. They are much cheaper than the rest , but i wasnt sure if they are good. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Exhaust for a 98 Eclipse RS

If you want a cheap cat-back, go with OBX.
I got mine for 293 shipped. Expect the muffler was dented so I sent it back for a new one. I can't wait until I can get that on. The muffler is HUGE.
