1985 trans am 305 t.p.i to a 454cid
hello i have a 85 trans am and i have just got a new 454 400hp engine and i just need to know what kind of modifications do i have to make in order for this to work. and what other kind of transmission can i use besides the 700r4. thanks.....

Look for an engine swap kit. I expect, (but an not sure) clearance for the oil pan, exhaust manifolds, steering linkage and hood will be of concern.
A kit should have all these concerns solved.
