hey...i just purchased a 91 crx hf...the previouse owner hasn't done anything to the engine but it is running pretty good.
i need advice...other than i/h/e...what else should i put on this car that will give me more pull (i live on a steep hill in sf)...i need power to get up these hills...my first and second gear cannot handle it very well...please help any advice other than swapping the motor and tranny would be appreciated...have no $$ to do a swap right now thanx |

nothing really will help that hf engine. its the lowest hp 88-91 civic/crx engine. i would suggest start saving for a swap.

Just get a bottle and hit the button when you go up hill LOL...yeah but I would consider a D16 swap...simple & cheap

blah an si tranny will do fine as far as tryin to get up that hill. but yeah get ride of that drivetrain quick!

I am not trying to be an asshole as I know your pain... but you should learn to "slingshoot", hardly legal but it works just learn the spots local and state cops favor for their radar traps. On the right road you can "smoke" heavier cars just because your car can take turns some 50km/h faster. Ever raced a golf cart? Moving your body as a couterbalance is the key to winning, damn I want a D15B2 powered golf cart now that I think about it...lol |
