Unhappy need more torque!! advice please

hey...i just purchased a 91 crx hf...the previouse owner hasn't done anything to the engine but it is running pretty good.

i need advice...other than i/h/e...what else should i put on this car that will give me more pull (i live on a steep hill in sf)...i need power to get up these hills...my first and second gear cannot handle it very well...please help

any advice other than swapping the motor and tranny would be appreciated...have no $$ to do a swap right now

thanx

nothing really will help that hf engine. its the lowest hp 88-91 civic/crx engine. i would suggest start saving for a swap.

....The quickest solution would be to fuck the bolt-ons (if they were in your plans) and spend 200-300 on a d16a outa a crx/civic Si. Thatll put you at about 100 hp, which is more than enough to handle hills...and run 16's hah hah

Edit: I read the part about other than swapping b/c of lack of money, but for the price of doing something to the hf to get power, you can easily swap in a STOCK motor...and most people dont have much love for the ol d16a so its generally cheap as shit, as i said, ive seen them for 200 with 90k miles.

Learn to drive!!!! LOL
I am not trying to be an asshole as I know your pain... but you should learn to "slingshoot", hardly legal but it works just learn the spots local and state cops favor for their radar traps.

On the right road you can "smoke" heavier cars just because your car can take turns some 50km/h faster. Ever raced a golf cart? Moving your body as a couterbalance is the key to winning, damn I want a D15B2 powered golf cart now that I think about it...lol
