Civic in for another tranny. Moment Of Truth

sup people. for those of you who dont know or remember, my civic has been causing me the same damn problem for over a year . Well after having my car looked at by 2-3 different mechanics. All symptoms point to a transmission problem. Well in the weekend, we found another tranny from an auto wreckers. This tranny has about 125 K kms on it and is ready to replace my old one. Im keeping my fingers crossed hoping that this will fix the main problems my car has been having. I got a decent deal on the transmission and with my connections, i was able to get brand new driveshafts for both sides of my car for really cheap.

My car is idling really low, slippin at initial gears (auto), lacking acceleration when temperature reaches normal level, transmission fluid is leaking small amounts and fluid smells like burnt toast. Most, if not ALL symptoms are pointing to a transmission problem.

I decided to give it this one last shot and hopefully i wont have to get rid of the car. If this doesnt work, i WILL be gettin another car.

I had all those except the tranny fluid leaking with my civic auto too. Tranny only cost $150 for a JDM D15B tranny and $80 bucks for my dad's friend to help install it. Ran perfect after that, until my sister got hit in it and totaled it.

Boy did these 2 days ever go by so slow. i was so anxious gettin my car back and Im glad the wait is over. My car is runnin better than ever now thanks to the new tranny. Looks as if it did the job for now and hopefully for a very long time so what this all means is i WONT be gettin rid of my car after all. I would of been so crushed if my problems persisted but thanks to some honest and generous mechanics, im very happy that my honda is riding like a real honda should ride like.
One good thing i can take out from all this is that i've learned so much about cars even though i've spent over a thousand dollars tryna get to the main problem. No more car worries for me.
