Progress: FC3S RX-7

Hi All,
Had a bit of a break from modelling and returned with a replica of my real car. It's progressing, I've taken a couple of progress pics, more tommorow when it's complete. Building it box stock, It's a Fujimi kit with Aoshima 19" Racing Hart Type CR wheels. Colour is Tamiya Gun Metal with two heavy coats of clear. I'm quite proud of the shine it has with NO cutting and NO polishing yet
Tell me what you think of the body so far!

Cheers,
Ryan

Re: Progress: FC3S RX-7

No decent pictures of my real car at the moment, it's in the shop getting some little gremlins sorted out. Dash illumination issues, running way too rich, keeps snapping alternator belts due to misaligned pulleys.. Pain in the butt, havent even had a chance to give it a good polish since I took delivery before it started mucking up! :/

But heres one pic of it with it's crappy rims on, got 18" Buddy Club P1 Racing II's on the way.

Awesome work on the rx-7. I just got a fujimi cr-x kit so I can make a model of my car as well.

Id love to see this kit with a tamiya race rx7 motor in it! Yours looks hot. what you pay insurance wise? There's one for sale here, its a custom red (faded clear, birdshit camouflage) paint for sale for 1200...with a factory turbo. Just curious, thinking of getting rid of my corolla for somethin faster.

Insurance wise, well no point telling as we're in different counties. Mine cost me around $10,000 Australian Dollars to import from Japan, Modify and Register. It's a 1988 GT-X Turbo model, with lots of factory options. Only thing its missing off the option list really is leather and sunroof. Got a few little mods done at the moment but I haven't had much of a chance to do alot to it yet..... Still, when I'm done with it, it should be pretty nice for an 18yr olds first car which isn't funded by parents or drug money
