2fast2furious Gold Supra

I was going to my LHS and I saw the 2fast2furious gold supra kit. You now the one in the opening race. Thats it. Has anybody else seen this or made it. I think its an AMT so i don;t think im gonna get it. Im not a very big fan of AMT. But just a little question.

the kit retains the bomex kit from the first film and looks nothing like the movie version

AMT did the kit becouse about 80% of modelers, are not mainstream, they build and buy one model a year, there for the newcomers who don't know alot about cars. but like 2F2F, most people won't even notice that the kit is very innacurate, they just know there building a 2F2F car.

yea AMT does suck. myself have only purchased 3 or 4 amt models. the re kits are not the best to build. they always need extra cutting and work to even fit. i was surprized with my amt elcamino, the kit went together easy, i onyl had to trim front window and some minor things.

OVER ALL AMT IS CRAP

wow, if it does'nt say Tamiya or Fujimi on it it seems like every one here hates it. and bashes it to hell, no kit is perfect, and most Tamiya kits have flaws.

AMT is prohibably the highest selling model manufactuer in the USA, (Revell, may have passed them tho). most of there tools are 20-30 years old. and they hafta produce twice the amount of models from the same mold then Tamiya. they also don't have the $$$$$$ to tool up new kits since RC2 seems to have cut there budget in half, and fired most of the kit designers

Re: 2fast2furious Gold Supra

That's because some of the modellers here are too lazy to develop the basic skills needed to build any kit and make it look good; anyone can throw a Tamiya kit together and make it look alright but how many can take an old AMT kit and make it shine?! Just voicing my unsolicited opinion. Sue me.
