I won't be making any more changes but tell me for future cars some improvements I need to work on...thanks

This is my first time posting a pic of a car I designed and it is my best work...also I used photo shop to make the car blue but it was originally shaded and now the shading is blue. Please give me some feed back vs. just looking at it. Thanks

Well it started out black and white but I did the best I could to make it blue in photo shop...it looks kinda blue but thanks for the tip...

What do you think about the car???

dude, you need to calm down...this thread has 11 replies, and 7 are yours.

You seem to want a pretty good critique of your design, so i think i will give it a shot:

The overall concept of your car is pretty basic, and relatively cookie-cutter when compared to all the small-time supercar manufacturers around. The side shot shows an interesting effect with the angled intake lines. I like that much. But what the design is lacking is detail. The car has no A-pillar, a split where i assume the door opens, and no c or d pillars. From the look of the sketch, the cockpit and roof is glass all the way around, like a bubble. While this is an interesting idea, i see no indication of glass, which leads me to believe that the entire thing is body color. This is not a welcome characteristic for potential buyers. Continuing with the roof, the front a rear shots give no indication of a rounded roofline, like the side view suggesats. Instead, the roof looks flat. So your front/rear shots of the roof do not even match with the side view. The side view also suggests an extreme angle in both the windshield and rear window. However, the front and rear shots show and windshield and rear window with the angle of a dodge caravan. All the shots show very little indication of depth, with only a minor amount of shading. The front and rear shots look like the car has been chopped off flat, whereas the side shot makes them look like they change angle.

Like I mentioned before, the amount of detail put into this design is not impressive in the least. There are no doors, and only a slight indication of where a door might be, in the window. There is no body paneling, rocker panels, or curves in any way. There are no side markers, badges or emblems. The lights, both front and rear, are blue. The tires, are blue. And the wheels are blue. As are all air dams and intakes. The only detailed part of the car is the front air dam, which is so intricate, they would be nearly impossible to build anyway. You have random circles put into it, which i guess could be fog lights, i really cant tell. The unstructured designs are very confusing, and dont even seem to go with the smoothness of the overall vehicle. Not to mention there is no mesh or any hint of a darker spot within them. Finally, the wheels. While the circles for the tires and wheels are straight, (let me guess, template?), the actual spokes arent even. They look bent. I also see no shadow under the car, which takes away from its realism.

As for overall work, the car is a good concept, with poor execution. The coloring looks like it took maybe 2 minutes, tops. It almost seems as if you put in some light shades, then added a blue tint to the whole thing. The colors for many components are wrong, or at least very unconventional. Overall effort seems like the design took 10 minutes overall. No detail, poor quality.

That is my critique. Im sorry its kind of harsh, but you seemed to want some honest feedback, so keep practicing. If you want i will try and help you out with techniques and details, but let me know what you want help with.

Just keep practicing. And stop posting so many threads for one drawing, just be patient, people will reply. And also take it easy on the posts, there are 11 in this thread, and 7 are yours.

O.K. well I got the critque I wanted...a little harsh but I need that.

Let me clear a few things up...

Those little circle things in the front are fog lights.

The wind shield is the correct height and width but that angle is off.

The split between the window...well the end near the front is the window but the end heading towards the back is the actually body or aluminum...

The wheels and everything including the air dams are blue because I have not been doing photo shop for that long and I thought it would make the car stand out put apparently it only made it worse...

To get a better picture in your mind think of the car as a front of an enzo...side of a lamborgini...and back of a super car...

My goal was to make it a class above cars like the NSX and below Ferrari's and Lamborghini...about $120,000 to $150,000 car.

So just think of it in black and white...

Finally sorry about all the posts I well cut down...I was just eager to here opinions by people who actually know car designs vs. just people who glance at it and say its great...I hope this was help to you for understanding the car...

For anyone who cares I will be updating the picture tomorrow on photo shop since I don't have it and the lights, vents, mirrors, and maybe the tires will be fixed...

damn yo did u post enough.. man u cant expect people to post something in 20 minutes. anyway bout the drawing, i agree with kustm on most of what he said. but u better put at least like 10 cylinder engine cuz from what that side view shows... u would have a lot of extra room. good job

Well maybe your right I will probably just go all out and make it a MR12TT instead...thanks for the opinion...sorry that I was just eager for you guys to post because this is the first time I posted a pic one of my designs...I am just going to touch it up for April 10ths contest...

Well after the contest I am going to start designing a rally car...

By the way how much money and horse power do you think the car would have just by looking at it???
