I thought you all might get a kick out of my recent interaction with the local smokies...

the stop scenario: 8:30 pm. i move over into the center lane, being curtious and allowing 2 cars to merge onto the freeway from an on-ramp [law says i have the right of way being already onto the freeway, merging traffic must compensate to conditions]. as i do so i happen to notice a fast car comming up on the left. having my internal radar on i notice the side lights of the opressing officer. immeadiatly checking my speed, i slow from 75 to a conservative 68. the only other car around was in the fast lane as i changed and was at a higher speed than me so he was up ahead. the officer slows and tracks my speed directly on my left. he then moves to the front of me, obliviously to get a better look at my fly ass ride. needing an even better look he then slows and changes to the lane directly to my right and tracks me again. being the sneaky guy that i am, i slow down more and more cuz i'm pretty sure at this point he wannts my ass, as he courted me with his circle dirving manouvers. because of all the slowing down there is now somebody else close to my hind quarters, and me slowing down is now driving the car behind me to be a sort of blocker. but eventualy the slimey sparkletops make there way to the rear and i am thrusted to the shoulder. he actually started out behind, moved out left, in front, then to the right, and back behind me. he wished his car could look so cool...

the conversation [i just got another speeding ticket for 53 in a 35 like 3 weeks ago, so i could care less at this point, and i'm dressed fairly well, just left my office]

P: you know i stopped you for speeding.

V: that's funny, sir, because i wasn't speeding faster than you were.

P: <not amused> you passed the fastet car on the freeway.

V: yes sir, but you passed me, so did i really pass the fastest car on the freeway? and sir, i didn't pass that other car in the fast lane, i merely changed lanes into the center to allow those 2 other cars to merge on from the onramp, which was very nice of me.

P: well your headlights are illegal.

V: <looks back at the freeway traffic> sir, what about that car right there with the blue headlights?

P: that doesn't make yours any less illegal, and yours are way more blue than those are.

V: yes sir, i bought this car like that, all this extra stuff came already in it, i got to be honest, i don't know much about now it works. the guy i bought it from said the headlights were just like BMW's and Mercedes, he actually said the price would be more because they are expensive.

P: hmmm... i'll be right back...

wastes 10 minutes of my time and i swear this bike went by at like 120+

P: OK, regardless of how you bought the car, the lights are illegal. you have to change them out, all of them. [yessir] because you bought it like that i'm marking this whole ticket as correctable and dissmissable. [oh thank you sir] you have to get a new front liscence plate too. [ok, sir] and just because i'm going fast doesn't mean you can. [<laughing> alright, sir] sign here please...



i had no idea there was an actuall code for 'blue headlights' but that is how blue 7500k is!!!! and always remember to say lots of sirs untill they get the cuffs on ya, then it's all fair game!

must be a ticket day. i got a ticket today too as far as i know, any modification done to your car is illegal. it is only up to how anal the cop who pulls you over is. over here, every modification is i think $25, so the math adds up +$25 +$25 +$25.... so on for each item you know. i've only gotten pulled over once here in boston. tho the Po Po who was Afro , walked around my car and came back asked me, "where did you get that dash board plate from?... cause my eclipse doesn't come like that" i laughed. didn't get a ticket. besides from telling me to screw on my front license plate, he let me go.

so what exactly does 25925 mean?

If you ever get robbed, shot, raped, etc, don't call the cops...call the folks you hang out with. I'm sure they will be right over and able to assist you.


FWIW, forward facing "blue" lights are illegal in most states. It seems to me, an nice pair of white Silverstars would light up the road better as well.

you guys need to hear this story of what happened to me yesterday though...me and my gf were following our other friends, doing about 75. they were driving a celica...well we're on a 55mph road and they found this mustang that wants to play...so they're hauling ass doing well over 90...and i'm back behind because i had a bad feeling...all of a sudden my radar detector states -- Ka - 1. i slam on the brakes and drop it to 65...then Ka - 2...a couple seconds later, Ka - 3. (the numbers indicate how close the cop is)...all of a sudden i see the cop on the opposite side of the road driving. mind you, my friends in the celica. they blew past this cop doing 90+...i look in my rear view mirror...sure enough the cop pops a U-turn. i'm just thinking "oh boy, they got themselves busted..." so we drive about 2 more miles with the cop about 10 car lenghts behind...we get into town and the speed limit is 45...so i drop it to 45...the cop still has his radar on because my detector is going nuts. my friends in the celica pull off into a mcdonalds...i'm thinking "ahh they're definitely caught now" well the cop keeps going straight and follows me....i'm just sittin there like "ummmm....that makes no sense" then suddenly those lights come on and he pulls me over! so i pull over...he gets out...
"you know why i'm stopping you sir?"
"no sir..."
"well i caught you going a bit fast back there...you were doing 66 in a 55"
"are you serious? i didn't even notice. i was just talking to my girlfriend and i must have lost track of speed...sorry about that sir"
"yeah well the speed limit through there is 55. i'm only going to give you a warning. drive safe and have a nice day"
"thank you sir, you too"

LOLOL... ya, it's just a fix-it ticket, so i got to replace the hi and low beams, side markers, and turn signals... oh and the back up lights if they see those too... and somehow get a duplicate liscence plate cuz i only have 1 and strap it to the intercooler so i don't have to drill my bumper...



then take that shit right off!!!!

if i get it signed off i can just go to the clerk, no need to appear in the court room.

it's funny cuz in the San Fernando Valley aka 'the valley' you don't get fucked with for shit. i've been doing 100+ down a main street and passed a cop on the other side and he didn't even bother to flip on me. a while ago they issued a mandate stating that cops have to stop wasteting time giving out traffic tickets cuz there is way too many calls and other things going on. but you do have to watch out for the BMW motorcycle cops. they got laser and shit and hide too, but only in the day time.

now in Simi Valley [think Rodney King] the cops are complete assholes with nothing better to do...
