Anyone have any tips on removing........

....the steering rack? I bought a poly bushing set to tighten the rack and rid the Tacoma of the inherent slop in the steering. I know the rack will need to come nearly all the way out to replace the bushings.

The truck is an '03 Tacoma Prerunner. 17K for miles.

Thanks in advance.

Rack Bushings

I have a 2000 Toyota Tacoma and I am getting alittle shimming in the steering wheel. I cannot seem to find rack bushings. Can someone let me know what aftermarket good quality bushing will get rid of the steering that is somewhat loose.

Talked with Toyota and the only way for them is to replace the rack.

Joe
