Rear Brake

About 2 months ago i was driving down a major road coming up to a traffic light doing about 60 mph ( in my 02 gt), the light changed, as I approached. I hit my brakes but There was no way i was gonna stop in time as i saw cars crossing the intersection. As a last resort i pulled the e-brake which stopped the car just in time. Since then, on occasion, my right rear brake makes a groaning noise. I'm not sure if it's the shock or the brake. I've been having problems with my front shocks, since they were replaced in a previous accident, they didn't replace the rear, but the rear end control arm was damaged and replaced,(3 weeks after the accident) any info on the possible causes will be greatly appreciated.
