Accord question

My son has an 87 Accord LX. It starts fine, but when it warms up, he accelerates and the car dies. He changed the fuel filters, used carbeurator cleaner, still is doing the same thing. It idles fine when cold. Any suggestions?

Assuming its carburated sounds like you might have a choke issue. I'm pretty clueless about the old carburators but sounds like its not getting enough air.

My dad had an old Ford Escort that I drove for a while. The electric choke started going out and it would be sluggish and want to die.
