Brakes, Groaning Noise
My 2003 s10 brakes produce a groaning noise just as It is about to come to a stop. This noise also occurs upon releasing the brakes after stopping. The dealer says this is "normal." My 1995 S10 never produced such a noise nor has any other car or truck that I have owned.
Before I write GM, any suggestions or comments? Thanks |

Brakes, Groaning Noise
Well with me, when I apply the brakes, accelerate or just driving around, there is this groaning noise like something is moving or rubbing on something, and it appears to be coming from the back. I would love to get rid of it though...

Re: Brakes, Groaning Noise
if it coming from the rear remove the drum and have someone push the brake pedal and see if they are releasing easy on there own if not put white lithium grease on the pivot points and on the backing plate were the shoes run
