Cool build your own custom tube buggy scale model for cheap to none!!tutorial!!

ok so this might take a while and the spelling might not be good and i dont have a digi cam so wish me luck.
Ok so first off lets say your an offroad person. you want a custom tube buggy but WHERE THE HECK ARE YOU GONNA GET IT! heres my tutorial on how to do it
step1:go to a hobby store like michaels or somewhere.
step2: buy some sucker sticks (round white ones)
step 3: make your frame rails from 2 of the sticks glued together. some cutting may be required. depends how long you want it. 1 stick for a super small crawler. 1 and 1/2 (what i made mine out of) for reasonable buggy style.
step4: first line the fram rails you glued together up but a little far apart.
step5: take 2 sticks and glue them on each end (one at the top of the rails and one at the bottom) some cutting if you dont like the way they stick out.
step6:where the back bumper (the stick that holds the frame rails together) cut some sticks down to make a start ( liek this \ ) on each side of the bumper that holds the frame rails together THEN (forgot this earlier) put some stregnth in the frame by cutting the sticks (one will hold it well) in the middle of the frame for strentgh.
step7: after making the strentgh bar in the middle of the frame and making the back slanted bars ( \ ) add some to the part (if ur using 1 and 1/2) add a straight up small bar too the part where the 1 stick connects to the half on each side.
step8: lay one full bar down from the back slant bars to the straight bar you just added.
step9: as you can see its coming together, cut some small sticks to support each side of the bars on the side you just connected (the back slant bar to the straight bar and the one on top) and connect both the side bars (straight bars, back bars and top bars) together.
step10:take two more sticks and make them slant to the front bumper or right behind the bumper, which ever is better for you.
step 10: (yeah its not over yet) take some hard material like styrene or bendable plastic and make a flat surface to place your seats engine steering wheel ETC. after you have it in glue it to the middle frame support bar and the tope and bottom bumpers if your styrene or plastic is that long. wait to dry then cut your hole in the surface (plastic or styrene) to place the engine(the tranny only goes in the hole not the whole engine) and it should stick "up" in a position where if water or mud where to get that high the engine would still run.
step11lace a battery or battery pack (scale model ofcourse) inder where the engine sticks up to glue it down hold it inplace and look cool.
step 12:undo glueing the engine in and the battery, thats just a test fit. if your engine does not fit adjust until it does.
step13: PAINT! pick your color, primer it,and lay down some paint.
step14:cut some suspension out of the sucker sticks, lay them side by said and make sure they are PERFECTLY the same size.
step15: find your tires, wheels, and use 2 sucker sticks for axles.
step 16: glue the suspension to the bottom plastic piece (the styrene or flexable plastic like i said earlier) make sure it stands straight up until it dries.repeat until all suspension is glued on.
step17: put your wheels on the sucker stick axle then glue the axle to the suspension. repeat for front, or back depends on which one you did first.
step18: enjoy your work! step back grab a beer and even make engine sounds if you want! mods please add this to the tutorial section!! ENJOY EVERYONE!!!

Re: build your own custom tube buggy scale model for cheap to none!!tutorial!!

Solid styrene seems to want to break when trying to do a full 90 degree bend so a little heat helps it a long. But just a little! Hollow tubing seems to be more forgiving and all you need to do is over bend it a bit and it should hold its shape. If it doesn't again just give it a little heat with a candle or lighter and it will soften the plastic. When it hardens it's solid and ridged. Some trial and error here!!

From the site.
