??

i asked for some specs in the thunderbird forum but no response yet. My friend thinks his 1992 thunderbird lx or something like that is a superior car to my 1992 240sx. I didn't have a response since i know nothing about his car. Claims its faster and just a better all around car.

i don't know, if it where a thunderbird SC i'd say to count your losses. but a 95 thunderbird lx does 0-60 in alittle over 8 seconds so a 92 is probably the same or slower. i'd say with a stock 240 you might edge the thunderbird out. and as far as handling goes, that thunderbird is nothing compared to a 240. by the way thats 0-60 in over 8 seconds with 200+ hp. you'd think weight like that would effect handling too. my opinion is that you willo beat him, but i guess you gotta find a good safe spot to race and find out. Heres my soarce http://www.supercars.net/garages/CopenKagan/1v2.html

Re: ??

I don't know.... is the 240 well maintained? LSD?
I think the T-Bird has a lsd and some top end HP.

In the handling department u will kill him for sure, but be careful both of u can't stop worth sh#t!

Re: ??

dude any thunderbird is slow including the super coupe. the 3.8 litre one has no way in hell 190hp. The V8 one has that. Super coupe has about 220hp. THE CAR IS MASSIVE. and most dont have LSD and the LX is an auto because only the super coupe came with a stick. You have a good chance at winning. Hes probaly running a V6 anyway, auto, no lsd, 3800lbs car. If a stock 93 240sx can take a non turbo Z32 auto, 5 times in a row, you can take the thunderbird.
