Hey, I got a ?. Is there some kind of product that works for interior odors on cars? I don't mean the occasional beer fart, I mean like the car has led a LONG life and you can smell it. I've heard Ozium is good, but does anyone have any thoughts?

Re: Help!!! It smells! It smells!!!!!
Try a whole bottle of febreze auto. It seemed to get out that "old" smell for me.

Spray it with febreze, or something like it, and then put some of those dryer sheet things under the seats--it absorbs a lot of the odor.

I don't know if you have A/C but a lot of interior odors are created by the evaporator. The evap builds up a lot of moisture and if it isn't properly drained then mold can build up and create foul odors. Newer Mercedes C-classes are prone to this, we have a special machine pretty much dedicated to the C-class

Re: Help!!! It smells! It smells!!!!!
If you have mold in your A/C it DOES create bad and annoying odors even when not activated. To stop this, turn the car on and go wherever you wanna go.While its on,turn the A/C on high/and hot.Leave it on for about 40 minutes. That will kill most of the mold and take out the odor the next couple of times you turn it on.
Now if its carpet/seat odors you got.Dont just go nuts with the febreze.I would REALLY recommend cleaning the inside first.Use a foam cleaner like Resolve or some other carpet cleaner. Then you can bring on the febreze. If that doesnt work, either you stink,or you have a trout in your door panel.(Wouldnt hurt to check.) |

find some kind of cleaner that also kills organic bacteria. go to your local janitorial store and get yourself some.
