How to drift your MX-3 : A step by Step guide

Ever wondered if it was possible to drift a MX-3... well it is... i've done it on several occassions... there is a trick to it... I have a 92 GS model, so if your car is diffrent from a stock 92 GS wo/ abs, then your results may differ.. but should be the same. well the steps are pretty simple.. just make sure you have a good recovary zone... cause if something goes wrong you need to be able to spin off speed.. (had to dodge a Median sign cauze I hit some dirt and it spun me so far that even using the Front tires It wouldn't come back... lol) well here are the steps:

Step one: slow down to about 10mph or so higher than the speed you grip the corner at... (use the heel toe technique) this will move the rest of the weight to the front...

Step two: at the start of the corner tap the brake quickly and turn sharply in** flooring the gas pedal while in the power band can help this also**... this would lift all stress off the rear tires causing them to slide...

Step three: depending on the angle you choose you might have to work the steering wheel back and forth to hold the slide but keep the slide till you hit the apex or if you can the outside of the corner...

Step four: nail the gas

Step five: congrateulate yourself for conducting a FF drift...

on a side note unless you do about 30mph faster than your grip speed and skid about 10 ft before the corner you will loose speed cornering like this..
another warning.. watch your car's rear.. it will lift the inside rear tire off the ground so monitor your center of gravity..
backup: if your slide gets really wide and you are close to hitting steer lock.. use the gas pedal to pull back the slide (I've had to do this several times)
