99 Silverado Transmission Clunk

Recently purchased a 99 silverado Z71 with 60K Miles. I get a clunking noise when it changes into second gear. It changes from 1st to second fine but when it changes from 2nd to 3rd I get this "clunk" sound. Seems to be comming from the rear of the transmission. Anyone else have this issue? Could it be gear lash?
Thanks for any help.

Re: 99 Silverado Transmission Clunk

Mine used to have a faint Clunk here and there.. I changed my fluid and filter at 80,000 and replaced both shift selonoids and since then my tranny shifts nice and firm no more sloppy shifts or clunks. Its an Idea.. Im sure most silverado Owners will agree that these trucks shift hard and sometimes sloppy.

I had a similiar clunk/lurch, I found a TSB on www.alldata.com and took it in for service. Its was electrical interference, believe it or not, with the wiring harness.
