hi there
first of all forgive me for askin on your messageboard, i am a camaro freak, but my daddy drives a 90 grand prix, he doesn't speak any english, so my question: what tranny is used in a 90 grand prix and 91, my dad was told that the tranny works fine til 100k mls and a new tranny would cost approx $3500.--. i think this guy overhere is just crazy and wants to make money. tell me where to get best infos an price ranges for a tranny in the USA thanks for any support ps: i actually love all of the american cars, but overhere it is not that easy to get infos |

Re: tranny
Try www.clubgp.com
They have a pre 97 section and they might be able to answer your questions. I got a rebuild for my 98 Grand Prix for $2000. Wouldve been cheaper but I added some aftermarket parts to it. I'd try and get quotes from as many trans shops as possible. I rebuild should not cost 3500 |

i had the tranny done on my 1995 GTP at a well reputable shop and it cost 2000 even including install, fluids clutches torque converter and a B&M shift kit. well done 2 year warrenty no problems yet and yes i do race it
3500 is way out of whack!
