bodykit question

I am planning to change my 2002 3 series front bumper with the m3 bumper. I do that, will i have to change my skirts and rear as well? I'm not sure if i have enough money at that time so i was just plannin on getting the bumper first, then changing the rest later, but i dont wanna put it on and look stupid until i DO change the rest.

thanx,

j

Hi there, i guess the car would look kinda funny if you just change the front bumper. It will look kinda inapproportional. An agressive and relative low from bumper with stock, subtle rear bumper and side skirts. I guess the best bet is to change the front and rear bumper together. However you have to think of a way to fill up the right exhaust gap in the rear bumper as your car has only 2 exhaust tips instead of 4.
Anyway have you checked the price of the bumpers? I recently saw in a car mag that you can buy the from bumper from an aftermarket company for about $360, but i forgot what currency it is in.

Hey thanx.. Yea i was thinkin it would not look proportional.. $360 for the bumper? my that would be a good price.. I think it might be in Euro's or US currency.. Probably lookin at round 500 for it or so.. Plus labour costs..crap..
Also, if i get the bumper do i have to get the same m3 rear? Because there are two cuts in the rear, i'm not too sure what to do with the extra gap. I was thinkin if possilbe, to get a different rear that would hopefully balance out the front as well.. Anyone knwo any nice looking rears?

thanx again,

j

hey no problem, yea i guess the price is in US or Euro. Well no doubt the M3 bodykit looks fabulous, but i dun think there is much of an option to go if you want the rear and front bumper to complement each other.
Hmm maybe some other company makes 'similiar looking' bodykits? Have you considered the other bodykits?
