know of any problems to look out for?

Hello to all I am about to buy a 2001 sonata 4cly and I want to know if any one know of any known problems with these to look out for, I notice that the motor has a tick to it, sales man said its because of the twin cams(I dont trust any sales man), is this right?

thanks in advance

Re: know of any problems to look out for?

That tick is from the valves (usually a timing thing) and is nothing serious. One thing you should know about though is that the MAF sensor might fail at some point. This is not aproblem with ALL 4cyl sonatas, but many have had this happen with that particular sensor made by bosche.
