Tamiya JGTC Skylines
A sneak preview of the 2 kits I have decided to take to Aus with me.
The paint goes on tomorrow! Rover Taihiti Blue for the Calsonic car (White primer) and I have to look for a Black metallic with a silver fleck tomorrow for the KURE sponsored car.

do you use automotive paints for both? is Taiti Blue metallic or not?

on the box it looks metallic or pearl blue
i'm crazy about blue and do my research work on "shades of blue"  today I found in hobbyshop couple exotic sprays from Tamiya (designed for racing bikes): telefonica blue and deep blue pearl. both too dark for what I want

And here is the Panther Black for the KURE car.
It is a rough texture, so as to catch the light when it is lacquered. The instructions say add 1 part of X11 for every 10 parts of X-1, so I am pleased that this is about right. The flecks are silver.

Both are looking good Dan. Look forwand to some good write up's on the building of them both.
The Kure one looks really good with the paint match
