Angry Help on 98 grand am

Hmmm...is there anyone who knows about heater cores? I am really needing some help on this one, I called a mechanic and he told me gee I dont know what it could be. I changed a heater core today and now it does nothing but blow out cold air. And to top it off the temp dial is very hard to move and I never even touched that while changing out the heater core. I would really appreciate any help that anyone could give me.

Re: Help on 98 grand am

The HVAC control head is electrically operated I belive if the temp knob is hard to move there could be problem with the head itself. If I recall correctly we use to sell quite a few of these, but it has been awhile. Flatrater should be able to help you out here. Good luck with it.

Re: Help on 98 grand am

Ok now I have another question. After I replaced the heater core, there is no heat but I have not ran the car all week and all the antifreeze and water leaked out. Does anyone have any suggestions?
