Shifter Question

i put a new b and m shifter in and if im careful and go from park to drive it lines up but when going for 1st to 2nd to third sometimes it takes two clicks to get into drive and the indicator says neutral... is it my spacing in the shifter cable or what?

thats the only thing i can think of without lookin at it, yea that sounds like it, but it goes right into drive sometimes tho hmmm

Re: Shifter Question

Make sure everything is good and tight and cannot move around when trying to shift. The shift lever on trans,outer cable housing(at both ends),the cable hookups(at trans and shifter) and the shifter itself. Follow the instructions for adjusting it.
