95 SHO problem
95 SHO, some times when attempting to start check engine light will come on at which point the engine will just crank with out firing. Sometimes I have to jump it, but the battery is fine. While driving @ highway speeds if I press the gas the car does not respond for a few seconds, then gradualy revs up as I smash the gas pedal down.
My mechanic says the car is throwing all types of codes that pertaining to the EGR/emissions....Told me that he would just worry about the EGR stuff. I havent seen any posts about problems with the 95 year SHO's, just 96, 92's...WTF, can ayone offer any type of suggestions, or advise from experience???

Re: 95 SHO problem
If you're saying you've heard of this for 92's it will apply to your 95, the 89-95's all had the same quirks for the most part, the crankshaft position sensor is a likely answer if the tach will stop reading, or bouncing around, check your sensors in general, they tend to go out in time with SHOs.

Re: 95 SHO problem
Which ever post it was about checking to see if there is vacume at the egr sensor mounted on the back of the manifold was right. I checked my friend SHO, and one of the vacume lines was cracked, created shitty vacume. One we replaced the line his check engine light no longer came on, and his car runs fine. ONE LITTLE 35.CENT RUBBER LINE CAUSED A LOT OF CONFUSION & HEADACHE!!!
