Hello gang,
Newbie here...sorry my first post is a cry for technical help, but if you can help me out I sure would appreciate it. Here is the deal, 1974 Plymouth Cuda...gas tank is clogged so I am removing it. I have undone most (if not all) of the gas lines and wires between the body and the fuel tank. I have undone the fuel tank straps. The only thing holding the gas tank to the car is the stupid filler tube. How in the world do I remove the filler tube from the gas tank? It seems there is a rubber grommet type thing that the filler tube fits into but this seems to be attached (quite firmly) to the gas tank. Do I just yank real hard or is there another way to do this? Thanks a ton in advance. SOMMS |

Re: How do I remove filler tube on my 74 cuda?
remove the 4 screws under your license plale and then the only thing that holds it in from there is trunk floor gasket and your tank gasket. alot a wiggling and it should come free. Hope this helps.
