Yes, all it takes is money. You can swap anything into anything really. Your budget is the only limiting factor. I'm thinking of a similar swap myself.

Re: engine swap

I knew it would take SOME money but I was also wondering how long it would take after i got all the parts and misc. parts to go with

Re: engine swap

Easier to swap in a 350 (5.7)

Re: engine swap

Easily... Most of us with s10's/blazer/bravada/sonomas drop 350's into them... Grab yourself an LT1 or LS1 engine... Bolts right in then just redo some of the wiring and you're off.

It's very easy to get a 350 in the S-10 engine bay, but it's kind of tight. I was thinking of using the newer 4.8 because it's physically smaller than a 5.7, and I am kicking around ideas of a turbo so I need all the space I can get.

Ok so well I guess that I get more power and a little less engine bay space

Re: engine swap

a 4.8 is going to have very little power over a 4.3 (not enough to justify the swap) Now an LS1 or LT1 would definatly justify it...
