alignment/camber

OK, so I am sure my alignment or camber is sincerely screwed. Basically I hoped a curb awhile back at 70mph(don't ask). I have since worn through 4 tires rather quickly. I installed a front and rear tower strut bar. The tires seem to wear down WAY too quickly, and sometimes with somewhat uneven wear. The inner/outer edges usually go faster then the center. I found a place that does AWD alignments for 55 bucks plus whatever camber kits they need to buy. Is there anyway of working on this myself or saving money at all? I have very little experience with suspension work, any tips/advice/opinions would be very greatly appreciated -Geoff

Re: alignment/camber

I'm pretty sure that you'll need to take it to a shop to get it aligned. Hitting a curb at 70 mph would seriously mess up your alignment. I had the same problem when I first got my car. The person who had it before me was in an accident and ended up hitting a curb, so the alignment was way off. I had the same prob as you, with my tires always wearing off on the sides and what not.

damm!t, I had a feeling someone would say that. We need to abolish money...and just do the barter system. I personally would let people ride shotgun in the vr4 a few times if they fixed it for free.

Re: alignment/camber

I kinda like that idea too? Anyone want a drive in a VR4? I've got a few things wrong with mine, hehe
