Lamborghini door conversion

Any one done this with 2001 Camaro? Any problems with it?

Also I found a pre-fab kit for a firebird. It should work on the same year Camaro, right?

i've seen it done before on a few camaro's on the net. Don't know if they have any probolems though, but why would you want to do that?? I mean sure the doors are a bit too big on the F-bods and that doesn't help when parking, but is it worth paying all that cash and going to all that trouble for the conversion? I'm sure for the cash you could get a decent set of rims, bodykit, or even a supercharger, i'd rather spend the money on something like that.

You've struck the nail on the head. Because everyone in my city has an SUV, i've had to take the T-TOPS off to get in sometimes.

I'm happy with my SLP rims and SS body kit as is.

As for a supercharger, I'm still under warrenty and i'm not putting a blower on it until the warrenty expires.

Re: Lamborghini door conversion

yeah i know what you mean. I've come really close to just giving in to my anger and key scratching cars of a-holes at uni who park so close to my car that i can barely get a hand in through the door, let alone myself through the door. I started parking my car far away from the main parking now, I figure walking an extra 2 minutes is worth it as long as I can rest assured my car isn't being scratched by somebody parking too close and that i can get back in my car without any problems.

More often than not, I'll park far away alone. When I come back someone will be right next to me. Usually in a Ford Expedition

I suspect because there aren't that many SS Camaros around, people park next to me as an excuse to look.

Re: Lamborghini door conversion

it wouldnt work very well with the t-tops though. granted im not an expert on lambo doors or anything, but the t-top insulation kindof overlaps the door glass so it really wouldnt lift up very easily...
